This idea left me scratching my head

I saw this for home theater. It could lead to some cool looking car install ideas, but I'm not sure how or if it works.
Any comments?

kinda a freeair/IB/PR/isobaric contraption???...lol....dunno bout this one.....would like to hear it though

looks like a passive radiator is used to dampen the rear wave off the sub.. my bet is that it's a stupid gimmick that dosen't work very well..
