My 2 previous enclosures

My two previous enclosures were very simple but worked very nice. They not only had a very nice SQ, but they also hit decently at a couple SPL comp. I attended. Both were in a Ford Probe.

The first setup I ran with was a complete Alpine Type S system. It included 2 6.5'', 2 5x7'' and 2 12'' subs in a sealed enclosure.
Amps I ran with the V Power mono blocks I believe 300 rms each, I can't find any pictures of the amps, though I know I have them somewhere. and the 4 chn V power for the mids and high's. For SPL this setup hit a 139db

My other setup was a Complete Alpine Type R system. THis included a pair of 6.5''s a pair of 6x9's and 2 12'' subs in ported enclosures. Amps I ran with were the MRD-m 300's, and the V Power 4chn from my setup. During Competitions I was lucky enough to have a set up mrd-m 1000 to use. with the 300's I managed a 142db level, and with the 1000 I hit a 147db. I really really miss my type R's. Both systems were really nice to run with.

Both were really simple but I really enjoyed them.
Right now Im working on putting together something for a Buick Century.
So far I'm running with Memphis M class 6.5's and 6x9's running off the same old alpine v power 4chn amp. and 2 Infinity reference 1050's running off of a mrd-m300. Also with a lovely Blitze 50 farad cap (little over kill, but I just had it laying around) I'll hopefully have the Subs upgraded within the next month and I can put in a proper enclosure, just haven't had anytime because of work so everythings just kind of jammed in there lol.

Nice looking installs. What do you think of those Infinty subs that your using now? I have seen several of those go through the for slae section and have been considering a couple to replace the no-name subs I have in my wifes car.

As far as the Infinity's go, they're great for the price. Now the preference is for the INfinity perfects which are amazing. the Reference ones however given the correct power are very impressive. I bought close to 35 of these subs last year off a company going bankrupt and got them at a price you couldn't say no to. The 12's hit very nice but aren't as clear at louder volumes and I found the 10's to be the opposite. hey don't really hit too well at low volume, but when the volume is up they hit beautiful. not very loud or hard but just perfect enough to enjoy what your listening too if you know what I mean. Don't expect the Reference series to do well in SPL compts, but if you enjoy your SQ then these are really nice and compliment a system perfectly.

As far as setups go. The 12's I found ran best at about 250rms @2ohms in a sealed enclosure and the 10's, I've only ever ran in pairs. The current setup I have is the 2 10's running at 300rms @2ohm in a sealed enclosure. I have a feeling though they would be perfect with about 350 rms in ported enclosure. (I think my math is right lol I'll double check tomorrow on it all)
