Good to know "leave at 0", now I can go back to focusing on my build. I like BB6P.

So I changed things a little, here's what I'm going to build .... box will now be 18.75" x 48" x 15.5". 4.5 cubes after port, bracing, etc. tuned to 30 hz. Port will be 14" x 4" x 33.36". Decided to use JL port area specs ... ... we'll have to see how it sounds. I can always build another one.

Here's the new Sketchup. The graphs are almost identical. The port is a little larger and some extra bracing. That's about it.

Should I install with port on driver or passenger side?

an a big hatch vehicle you'd get much better results with port loading. which means you should fire it into the back door. if there is room.

Unfortunately, I don't have any more room than those dimensions. I can't even go bigger in port area without going over max dimensions. I could change it so they all fire in the same direction against the hatch or forward. Basically subs and port on the side of the box in any direction. What would the best direction be? Forward, Up, or backward. What is the optimum direction when your pretty much stuck with this design?

I thought about 2 6" flared ports but they had to be 34" (I think it was..) each. Way too big to fit in the box.

34 inches long? something is definately wrong unless u want to tune it to 10 hz.

2 six inch ports in a 4.5 cube box should not be any longer than 22-23 inches to be tuned into the 30's.

which way is the best to fire, that's something u find out on the mic. probably up or forward is my guess.

round and smooth doesnt always mean better air flow. lots of times it has no effect on air flow. and other times you dont want it to be too smooth or too round.

Somehow I feel this is a lesson in loading...

I'm playing with the options right now. I tried the 2 6" ports in BassBox again and it still says 2 - 6" ports with double flared ends is 34.32" each at 30 hz 4.5 cubes? No idea why?? I'm starting to think BassBox is taking me for a ride.

The closest I got 2-6" ports that were 24" in length was 4.6 cubes @ around 34hz? Any smaller enclosure or lower tuning and the port length seems to jump quickly the lower I go frequency wise.
