Sub Box Help
Hey all I have a Mazda Mx6, and am looking to do a "semi" custom install, I cant fiberglass for the life of me, nor have the will to learn, or the will to pay big dollars for one custom enclosure. so this is my dilemma/ inquiry, I want to make an amp rack and sub box like these pictures now the question is regarding the box, I see how it has been slightly altered to accommodate the rear speakers and also to leave trunk room, and give a "flush" kind of look, now will for one, the indents for the speaker change the " sound characteristics" of the box, will this distort the sound in anyway? also lets say this box has internal Cu.Ft specs that are to large for the subwoofers I want to run, would making the internal dimensions of the box smaller, and keeping the external dimensions to my desired size, be fiesable?

i dont think the box in that picture has been "altered" what it looks like they have done is put a font baffel that is taller than the box it self
soemthing like this
and if you end up with a box to large lets say 2 cf instead of 1.8 cf you can put solid objects in the box to displace more air. something like a 2x4
