1 JL W6V2 vs Two Apline 12" Type R

Funny how I've seen countless systems run 300+ RMS to Type-RS (including myself) without blowing them ...
The reason why people blow subs is because they don't know how to set a gain and they think they can play everything ...

the proof is in the listening haunz, not on paper. so, know knowing true linear xmax will tell you if a speaker will sound good, this just gets better and better, i guess its a good thing thats just your opinion. i had a opportunity yesterday to speak to someone who has designed speakers for such companies as avi and aurasound, and explained to him you thoughts on the relevance of parameters and the methods by which they are measured and their importants, not only did he giggle at your idea that t/s parameters are usually wrong and that design software(leap and lms) is always wrong, i wont tell you what he actually said because i dont want to hurt your fellings, this particular guy can be quite scathing, as most engineers can be i suppose. btw its klipple and not kipple and if you think that linear bl is something revolutionary to adire, (who's speakers ive never heard so i have no opinion on them) its not

defro... whatever.. I don't care what conversation you had wih anyone...
I never said anything about 't/s parameters are usually wrong' and I what I said about box design programs was SARCASM - you twit-
you have been making **** up for 2pages now... its getting old..
Bottom line is that if a speaker tracks the input signal well, then is going to reproduce sound well- that aint exactly rocket science.
Arguing with you is like trying to argue with a women...
Thought you were done with this thread anyway?
EDIT: BTW, the adire page was just a reference to what Iam talking about that I knew was online... obviously they arn't the only company to offer a sub wih flat bl.. of course, there you go making **** up that 'I must think'...

haunz, you say one thing, then change to something else, it upsets you when someone calls you on your lack of facts to back up your outlandish staements, you said linear bl respoonse means a speaker will sound good, where are your facts to back it up, you said that t/s parameters are usually wrong and so are is design software, rea your post my friens you said exactly that, if you dont believe read your posts, and now you question the opinion of a speaker designer and engineer and say that you never said the things you did. i think you should keep posting, its entertaining, im riveted to see the next highly educated, fact based statements you make next, its like trying not to look at a car wreck, the only difference here is that i got to watch it. please re-read the statements youve made and come back and say you didnt say them, it would be par for the course for you

For all we know it could be YOU that's the problem, and not the subs.
Maybe if you give us some more info on how amp was used, how the gains were set, what sort of music/tones you were playing, and the enclosure type would help back up your claim.
No sub is strong enough to withstand the power of a moron. (not saying you are one, just using it to illustrate a point)

I am surrounded by car audio gear day in and day out. What do you do? I am sure your more qualified at your line of work than I am. I do have a little bit of knowledge behind what I say and do. Albeit infantesimal to many other members of this board. I have the availability of testing many different types of systems and being able to change minor and major components of a system to see what kind of difference can be made.
