Question RE Audio Decision

So I've seen a few pictures and videos of this monster floating around the net but I've yet to find any definite specs or anything on the sub. Does anybody have any info on any of the '06 XXX drivers, or any of the entire '06 subwoofer lineup for that matter? I wonder if the SX's have changed at all.

The RE Debate

I'm trying to decide whether I want to pick up a pair of RE 12" SX's, or just one single 2006 XXX 12".

My main goal is to get some serious SPL, but still be able to do some daily driving - although I'm not incredibly picky about sound quality either way... just something loud for either occasion.

I only have about 7 cuft of space in the trunk, and plan to upgrade the alternator, then pick up one amp per sub that I buy... so probably a couple hifonics amps if I go with the dual SX's, or just one badass amp if I opt for the XXX route. I know that the XXX is sort of geared towards SQ, but this new model looks pretty mean and I'm sure it would work for either application.

Any suggestions?

Either setup would be sick. I would guess the 2 sx's would be louder, but the xxx would probably still be rediculous and you could save trunk space and buy a better amp. I would go the xxx/sick amp combo.

I just got off the phone with a guy from custom sound in Cranbrook and he had guessed that there would be about a 50 dollar increase or so on the new XXX. The boss had already left, and he has the actual figures, but this guy had estimated them at somewhere in the 800 dollar range Canadian.

if I remember correctly a GOOD DEAL will be almost $1000CDN for the new XXX12 this year as they have been totally redesigned

as for the original q... go for the SX's if you want to pound all day long and still get high SPL
for a small fee you can order ALMOST any coil configuration you need to suit your needs dual or quad 1.4 or DVC 0.7 ..this year I believe even 1.0 and 0.5 is available in DVC

for more q's I'd contact Chris Cecco @ Audio Options he's the Canadian distributor for RE and he call tell you more info
