I ran a 10" type-x with a 350w Zapco...it didnt win any db drags...but it was great for everyday listning!

my buddy gots a tacoma with a jvc deck, kenwood 1000 watt amp 2 channel with 2 10" kicker comp subs in a home made box, not a proper box, with 2 pioneer speakers amped on a 600 watt rockford amp and he called me out to see if i can beat his system which im trying to do, i got a pioneer deck, 1800 watt kenwood mono amp and am looking for the right sub to do the job
i was told dd subs are good?

They are good and if you have been called out, as good as the type x is, it needs way more power than the DD in order to play to the same output level. Want loud, go DD.
