why do you have an eclipse deck with a pyramid amp? thats quite a mismatch. get a real amp, if it doesnt have a crossover its pretty low end, and a waste of the great signal out from that deck. its like having a ferrari with motomaster tires. www.cartunes.ca check us out. -dion

Chris, the CD3422 does not have a lp filter on the non fader preout. (goody - wish the new ones did not have them as well). You need an active crossover to use with your system. Use the amp for now and drop by and we'll see how you have it all set up. A F-mod will be a little cheaper in price and they do an OK job at best, but a true active crossover is what you need. Most amps have these built in, seems the amp you have does not. Stop by any time dude.

Ross, thanks for the referral, always need and appreciate business.

LP = low pass filter - use to limit the range of frequencies being played to a speaker, in this case a sub. No filter or too high a filter allows "voice" to be played through your sub. Do not change the cd player, add a crossover and later on upgrade the amp.
