The capacitors that filter the power supply are electrolytic caps. And yes they do degrade with time. HOWEVER we are talking about 20 years or more!
I have an audio power amp I purchased in 1978 and it works fine.
I have a tube amp built in the early 60s and it works fine.. all original parts.!

So sleep well... dont worry!

Bryston amps come with a 25 yr warranty. They'll replce the caps for free if they are over 15 yrs old.
