I have an infinity perfect 12 4Ohm single coil sub that I am now powering with a rockford fosgate punch 325.1 amp.

I'm looking into purchasing an infinity reference 1600A mono amp as an upgrade for my system. The amp pushes 400W at 4Ohm's. The sub is listed at 350W or 400W depending on where you look. Will the new amp work well with my sub or will it be too much power?

Hmm you will have to adjust the gain maybe to see how it is, just mess around with it a little and get it where you want, and where it's perfectly safe.
