Amp Upgrade?

Hi im new here so i hope this doesnt come across stupid.

But recently i picked up two 10" pioneer premires.. pretty sure these ones

http://www.audiodiscounters.com/shopping/PIONEER-tsw2501d2-p-1907.html

Im only running a JL 250/1 amp and would like a little bit more from my subs. I found a JL 500/1 amp for pretty cheap and i can sell my 250/1 to my roomie for $400. In the end will cost me about $50 maybe $100 at worst.

Can anyone tell me if this will make much of a difference? or should i just be happy with what i have and save for somthing much bigger... or both lol

thanks in advance!

It is double the power and WILL BE a noticeable gain. I'd go for it too. You should actually be thinking of somewhere around 1000+rms for them subs. My cousin had the 12" version of them on 1200 rms. Great lil subs.

All well and good , selling the 250.1 to roommate for 400 bucks? Sorry but caught my eye as being kinda taking advantage of a newbie . As far as the upgrade in power, sure you will get a good boost, Do what ya like, but i couldnt take advantage of someone like that.
