Amplifier Problem

I have a Kewnood KAC-6202, 60x2 RMS at 4 ohms, running a pair of Hertz hi-energy 4" coaxials. Today when I was driving home, it just cut out. Well not totally cut out.. it very quietly crackles the music.. I tried a different amp in its place, and it works fine. Any ideas?

amp problem

Sounds like the preamp section is going- not that expensive to fix (below $100).

I bought it not too long ago, so it'll be under warranty.

A possibility. Did you check wires?
