Amplifier Selection Assist
Hello all,
I'm sure there are posts our there on this subject already but time is of the essence so I thought I would just shoot this to the masses. Back in the 90's I used to compete as an IASCA-Novice and really got the Car Audio bug going. After competing for a few years, I found that I just couldn't hang any longer as even novice classes started doing super advanced installs with motorization, automation etc. I eventually stopped competing and started judging SQ..Good times.
Any way, long story short I got out of car audio for a good bit and I'm now getting back into the mix. I'm building the requirements for my '13 370Z - At this point the only thing installed is the head unit - Alpine INE-W927HD.
I'm looking to determine what's out there these days....Back in the day it was Pioneer, MB-Quart, AudioControl, and PPI for me :-)
I'm looking at Audison Voce's for front stage....
So folks...Who's hot these days in the IASCA SQ world :-)
I'm not looking for that $199 2000-watt (Rated)amp at the local swap meet...I'm looking for high-end, clean, quality products...McIntosh (If I can find one - 5 or 6-channel), Audison AV5.1K, are the ones I'm currently digging deeper into.
Yes...I'll keep searching here

I got a mcintosh 6 channel off eBay for a decent price. If you want new Mosconi is the new "mcintosh". Mb quart was replaced with maestro. Also for speakers Hybrid is supposed to be really good. You can never go wrong with dynaudio. More amps are Zed audio, audison, us amps, and Phoenix gold is making a come back.
