I'm looking for a battery to provide some stored juice for my US Amps 4000x. I have an 220amp alternator comming soon, and now i'm trying to decide which battery to buy.

Stinger sp1700 (1700amp for 5 seconds)

Batcap 8400 (9600amps ???)

I'm skeptical of the stingers performance, I have a stinger 1f cap and it doesn't do anything. Does anyone have personal experience with the sp1700?

The batcap seems like overkill, but I would prefer to have too much power rather then not enough

Can anyone suggest other batteries with high output?

I'm just planning on keeping reserve current for burps at steady 14v if possible As I don't think the 4000x will take 16 or 17volts

So for a daily driver that doesn't compete which would be better? Batcap or a second battery?
