You can never have too much battery power. I would stick to the kinetic power houses.

i got two kinetic 1400's for like 450 or so to my door NiB 2 years or so ago. Sure there MSRP is high but you can haggle and get okay prices on them to. Not sure how the 1400's stack up to what he got and im sure he will be fine
