Any technology that keeps the sub linear generally inhibits SPL.....
look for raw shat... not xbl or split coil blah blah... and **** on shorting rings................... high fs will probably help, and duh tune it to the install......

The MT on the other hand was designed strictly for SPL.
Yes, the XXX will get loud, but the MT will get louder.

Just playin with ya. We all know the XXX gets loud but so do a lot of subs but that doesn't mean they are the best choice for SPL. So being mentioned in this thread would be incorrect.

I understand where you're coming from, but what you're saying is still incorrect.
The XXX can and WILL get loud, but it is not an SPL sub. On a mic it will get spanked by an RE MT, DD 95, or DD99.
btw..throwing up a random SPL number for 1 12" really means nothing without knowing the mic it's on, the power it's using, the vehicle it's in...ect ect.. (btw, I've seen a guy hit over 180 with Pioneer 12's! )
