blown sub?

hey i just recently bought 2 type r subs off a guy and tested them out the next day, we connected them to the amp and only one would pump and the other one would barely make any movment and chirp so we thought it might be his amp or his wires that are ****d so we just connected the one that was not working to see if it was the problem and it was doing the same thing, anyone know?

they said that they switched the two. so not too likly. any who as far as the question. check the impedance with a multimeter on bolth speakers. should be close to the ratings given on the sub. from there u will want to make shure that the tinsle leads r not busted if u show infinate or high resistance.

also just check to see if the sub moves freely when u push on it. if not the sub may have bit it.

justinstall!

Have you tried flipping the RCA inputs to see if it's before the amp?
