well that is why and i'll quote dave here alpine lets you turn down the internal amp/preouts up to -12db i believe so you can match closer to your amps and such.

 

Ya my KDC-X969 didn't start screwing up till it was almost a year old.

Hey, does that 822 run screaming hot too? Like after listening to an mp3 disk for an hour or two, and you eject, does it come out screaming hot?

 

The Older my Kenwood gets the more "Skippy" it becomes. Smaller bumps are skipping it, and it used to be able to read scratched CDs now the discs need to be 100% perfect.

 

Oh yeah what Grizz said about heat, I forgot about that. After playing through a CD 2X the disc is almost too hot to touch.
