hey guys, i have a mitsubishi eclipse 99, and im not sure to go with which sub. i have 2 packages in my mind which are:

i wanted to know which one is better for the price, like the RE is for 460$ and can create 1000w rms nd the RF is 1200w rms, which one would b worth the price? also, do you guys think these packages are great? the box/amps and also, wut kind of cap will i need? 1 farad? or 2? will i need to upgrade my battery and alternator, and if so , wut kind?? and also, if i get the T2, will it be better in ported or sealed? because the package comes with sealed

Sorry man, your links are NG.

Don't waste your money on a cap, spend it on 1/0 wire and a decent battery, it will be much better spent.

With proper wiring and a good battery you likely won't need to upgrade your alternator for something like 1200RMS, but if you can afford to, it wouldn't be a terrible thing.

 

my bad, i cant post the links until i have made 5 posts , still i will post the details. the RE package has a 4 gauge kit and the RF kit has a 1/0 gauge kit, and which kind of battery would u recommand for both of the packages?

The RE package is here, the only issue I see with it is the enclosure they are providing....according to RE's website, the specs here don't even recommend a sealed enclosure for the sub. Getting a proper sized one for the sub will add $60-$200(depending how you get the box) to your cost to get it right.

The RF package is here, this package has the same problem....wrong enclosure type and size for the sub......

Either setup will work straight out of the box....personally I would save the $$, get the RE package and use the extra $ to get a proper enclosure made for the sub......

Don't worry about a cap yet, do the Big 3 first.....much cheaper than the cap and it will take care of most power supply issues......

The one other thing you should be doing is checking your local audio shops for comparable setups.....you might be able to find something there that will work for you as well.....

for what you'd need, i'd go with the RE audio package (its also in stock). it'll suit your needs, but wont be anything super special.

again, i agree that a new enclosure would be good

 

thanks a lot for the suggestions! i was wondering if you guys know any good audio stores in mississauga or even in toronto perhaps which would make custom boxes? and i heard the RE should bump pretty hard? also, the price is 460$ but u gotta remember its around 200$ shipping.. since its coming from america would you guys know any better deals? im looking to spend around 800-1000$ for everything. thanks!
