if you're looking to spend around $500 and have something that sounds decent either get the logitech's or buy a good quality mini-system. I know everyone will laugh at mini-system quality but if price is a big factor it wouldnt be bad, get into anything else it will cost you alot more then $500.

 

You could also check out canuckaudiomart.com and easily find $500 of quality used stereo stuff.
