cd player keeps skipping

try holding it in your hands and see if it skips
and second of all chrysler has the worst mounting of all vehicles
using to oposing end with one screw each
its as lame as it gets
i would advise to double check your sleeves secure as well as your plate
and a back strap thats secure would probably help too

Yeah, this sounds totally like an installation issue. If there's one thing I remember from years ago when I first read an article in car stereo review(sometime in the mid 80's), was to make sure your HU is in there tight and you have it supported on the rear end. I usually go one step further and put closed cell foam blocks under the deck making sure not to cover any vents or heatsinks( usually means I have to put a few smaller pieces). I have owned a few chryslers and with this technique I have never had a player skip not even over pot holes. good luck!

I'd just go spend 200 dollars on a deck. You're probably going to get charged an arm and a leg for anything tp be fixed in it. If indeed anything is broken. But, for 200 bucks you can go find a decent deck that won't ever skip.
