Circuit Breakers
Hey guys I am getting near the end of my current install. I am taking some hard foam board and ducktaping it into cubes to decrease my box to about 3.8 cubic feet per sub. I have a fuseable distribution block from 0 to (2) 4 gauge wires. But then I started thinking that I should buy circuit breakers so I never have to worry about fuses again. Are there any negatives to buying circuit breakers? I had my shop order in a 50 ampere for my speaker amp and a 100 ampere for my sub amp though I haven't decided if I will buy them yet. Any thoughts would be helpful.

On a technical note, circuit breakers, especially for DC, unless they are magnetic (and I don't think you're paying 1200 for a breaker) have a MUCH slower response time than fuses. Fuses simply offer better protection than breakers, every time, no exceptions. spend 10 bucks on extra fuses, and keep them in the car with a tool to replace them, I know that I do that, and it's not a big deal. Plus, if you're blowing fuses regularly, then your fuses aren't sized properly.
i have fuses in my ride so if i need them i have them
so when the spl car nexted to me needs one i have one to get that set up going
it is no fun winnig becauce you are the only car there that is working

I know this is a dead thread, but i didnt want to start a new one... Anyways what im curious about, is there a difference in circuit breakers(brands)? I called up a few local stores and im getting prices from 50 to 100 loonies and on ebay less then 30 bucks shipped to me. If someone could shed some light on this that be great
