Deck resets when bass hits

As far as who installed the deck (brand new at the time) was Audio Video Unlimited.

Whoever worked there, wired both the amp and deck originally using 12 guage (to the amp +/-) I laughed at my brother because he wondered why the amp never did work..... anyways the negative from the deck, like most of you said, was grounded wrong. Again whoever did this, grounded it to an aluminum clip that was holding the cover for under my steering wheel on. The little clip was clipped to plastic. Ground = going nowhere.


Thanks everyone, I regrounded to the chassis and the problem SEEMS to be fixed, any more problems I'll be sure to post.

Ok, never dreamed it was that bad! Guess that is a case of it's best to see it!!

its not the greatest but I did take a pic with my cell phone. I pointed out the plastic cover/aluminum clip and the wire itself.

1. plastic
2. clip
3. wire




i still think its funny that someone from a place like AVU can get away with this type of work.

I had this, my issue was the ground wire/antenna was not connected properly to the deck.
