Yes, good start but I would suggest upgrading your wire from 4 ga to 1/0 AWG to get that amp enough juice.

YOU HAVE MY OLD AMP! I loved the M1001 and thats a really really good price you paid for it. And yeah go with the 0/1ga kit that Smartass has for sale..if hes still got them for sale. Use the 4 guage for your Big 3 or something.

regarding the M1001, is it to much power for my 2 subs? should i put the gain down?

also if u can send me link or whatever for the wiring kit i would apreciate... and lot of people talk about the big 3, got no clue what it his or how to do it, there are probably lot of post on this so will do a search but a brief explenation would be appreciated. It it really worth it doing the big 3 and what would i need to by to do this

The big 3 concerns upgrading your:

1) Battery negative to chassis ground wire
2) Battery positive to alternator wire
3) Engine to chassis ground wire

All you need is a few feet of 1/0 wire (best) or as big a gauge as you can go. The advantage of the upgrade is better all around flow of electricity to and from the alternator, battery, and amplifier - and all grounds in between, which will sometimes reduce or get rid of headlight dimming from big voltage drops. The stock wire currently in these locations is usually pretty tiny. It's recommended for any system experiencing power problems like dimming... Sufficient wire could be had for around $20-30 I'd say, at about $3/foot for 1/0 wire.
