Eclipse cd5030 question

I have a question regarding my Eclipse cd5030 head unit and I hope one of you can help. Yesterday I replaced my POS Kenwood KIV-700 with my cd5030. I use a 16GB flash drive for my music. This works great on the cd5030....much faster than the kiv-700. Is there a way to have the cd5030 always display the song/title information? The manual says to press and hold the screen/text button. I do that and it works but as soon as I manually change the song or turn off the stereo the song/title is not displayed (the mp3 file name is instead).

Hmm. If you go into the menu (long press the phone button in the middle of the deck face) I think somewhere in there, there is a scroll type 1 and 2. Try that out. Mines always either displayed the song title and artist, or Song title and album.

I'll give that a try, thanks! I thought I had already set that to always scroll but I will double check it again. Are you using a usb flash drive or an ipod? I know with an ipod it always display the song title and artist.
