Eclipse CD5030 USB Question
Eclipse CD5030 USB Question
Hello. I am interested in this head unit. My question is since it's usb rear input, does that mean I have to take it out everytime I want to put my thumb drive in there. Or is there like an extension cord I can run from the rear usb port of the deck coming out from somewhere on the control panel/dash. Thanks.
The cord is quite long. I routed mine underneath the glove box and near the shifter. You might have to take a few things apart to do this, I had to take the glove box out which was pretty easy.
And when you are not using USB on it make sure you put the cap back on so it doesn't get damaged or dirty.
Oh I forgot to mention that it is a great head unit. The USB works excellent and is very fast, 7-band parametric is sweet and everything on the deck is extremely easy to use!

I just finished installing this deck and it sounds much better than the sound unit it replaced. Anyway, I got my phones synced up, my iPod plays through the deck but when I connect my usb stick it just shows USB on the screen but does access any of the music on it.
Do the folder have to arranged in a specific way or am I missing something?
