I think it's safe to say we definatly are not out of drivers but we have been no doubt battling backorders of parts and drivers for about a year now, so much so it's forced us into redesigning a lot of things to insure we get them faster.

As for woofer technology… what really has changed in the last 10 years… excursion. The changes in voice coil shape, wire material and shape, a couple octo/ hex / square shaped drivers, stiffer cone materials (composite and metal), smoothing over the dust cap are all refinements not revolution in design. Most of the new designs are revisiting older designs with a new twist, that doesn’t make them bad or good that’s the consumers call eh. The most revolutionary drivers are the flat Blau-punked and Phase Linear. The ED has been the mouse that roared and that is a nifty market segment ( I whipped your butt with an 8 inch driver!)
