Don't buy cheep Canadian tire stuff. With all the efort you put in back it up with quality materials. Cheep in get's cheep results.

walmart, crappy tire, homedepot, etc all use waste resin. so it is not even guaranteed to cure, though it usually does; not 100%. if the resin is green don't even bother doing any layup, as it will be the junk off the bottom of the barrel.

if you have a NAPA in your area, their Bodypro resin is great, a little pricey at 50 a gallon though.

a gallon is more then enough to do a box though right?

sorry i guess i need to give a rough size... 3cuf

depends on how many layers you do, and how you apply the resin. it should be enough though.

Flex is the #1 thing to avoid. you will hear it, and it will drive you nuts when playing music... just try to avoid large flat surfaes, as fiberglass isn't very rigid in these circumstances if not thick, and you'll be fine. unless they are monter subs, shoot for 3/8" thick, or a little less.

The trick is to lay the mat down, and add enough resin to soak it, but don't flood it on and have too much. Resin itself isn't strong, it's the combination with glass that gives you the strength.
