Getting bass out of alpine 9815 deck?
I was told the Sub out on the 9815 had to be cranked to 15 to get any bass out of it. This was with 2 different amps and I thought the amps where the fault..I go back to the store and they said something to do with getting the full 4 volt output to the sub you had to have it all the way at +15...Needless to say I didn't keep the Hu very long didn't like the idea of it having to be cranked up to work proper... Put in a Pioneer like I've always had before and everything worked perfect at 0 level for the sub out.
Ive also heard this comment numberous times. People say the sub-out must be maxed on the Alpine units, first time I heard this I thought it was some newb trying to give advice about getting lots of bass by turning up a bass boost, but turns out you gatta do what you gatta do. I like my pioneer set at 0 or -1 on most settings
