Question Good deal ? Alpine 7909

Is this a good deal ? I have a chance to buy this headunit for $150.
Its an old 7909 cd player that has been modified by alpine themselves (higher preouts, better laser) Looks like its in decent shape and just needs a lil cleaning on the front panel.

yes that was me. The 7904 unit is totally different sounding than the 7909.
I decided against it.
