Sony CDXR3300 is an MP3 player and retails for $199 (usually installed).

Like mike said, just buy a deck. It's affordable.

I bought a Panasonic Mp3 player with 2 sets of 2.5v pre-outs for $189 at FS.

Doesn't seem that expensive to me.

(this was regular price.. I'm sure you could find something on sale too)

I can get an mp3 deck for like $100, but I want something good. I dont want to install an amp now, but I might in the future, so 4v is needed. I have a P.O.S cd player in my car and I can notice the difference from my old stereo (kenwood kdc- x915,stolen), and basically I want something that is going to sound good and not cost me an arm and a leg. I think I will just hand tight till something good comes up at a reasonable price...by reasonable, I mean around the $300 mark....thats the most I will spend, but it has to be really good. I want an alpine, but they start at like $400. If anyone sees anything, let me know.

Thanks

Wha?? ... that sounds like a hell of a deal.

My Clarion is starting to take a crap on me. I think I might have to look in to this one.

I assume it's at FS?

*edit* I just checked out the JVC web site. Doesn't say that it's MP3 compatible.

It can play MP3's but only when used in conjunction with the CH-X1500 changer.
