Help with Box Size for New Sub
#1
I just picked up my new subwoofer - a 12" Treo SSi dual 2 ohm. First off, I plan on building a sealed box. I know, I know everyone says go ported. But my thought process is that if I build 'the right box' then sealed will sound amazing.
So, I'd like some assistance on determining 'the right box size'. I've done some searching on this and I came up with 1.977 cubic ft as a box size (based on t/s), but the manual that came with the sub says 1.10 cubic ft?? I also do plan on taking into account the displacement for the driver, and any bracing that I use.
Here are some specs:
frequency 23.7 Hz
Vas 1.568 cubic ft / 44.40 L
Qms 6.901
Qes 0.572
Qts 0.528
Excursion 1.08 in / 27 mm
Thank you so much for your help!
