How are thes alpines?
I have alpines spr17s 110 watt rms in the front, and spr69c 100watt rms mid panel and 2 12 inch xsite subs dvc. the subs are not hooked up and the others are powerd from the head unit. would like to power the front components and the mid panel with a ALPINE MRP-F600 rated at 100 x 4 rms and the subs with a alpine MRP-M1000 rated at 600 watt rms at 4 ohm and 1000 watt rms at 2 ohm I believe the xsites should handle a 2ohm load but these subs are only a temp until I buy 2 12 type r. just want something better than stock head unit amp.
They are ok speakers. Cones are really heavy and get pretty muddy sounding. Also not very efficient so you really do need th throw a big amp on them to get them going really well. they aren't bad speakers. but in all honesty, they aren't particular great either for their price range/market
A real Alpine hater on this forum (sikk nation )he will never say anything good about ALPINE never. I normally sit back and laugh but come on now S**T man !

I like Alpine. Just not a fan of the new unreliable stuff, and was never a fan of the type-R speakers,, the subs are great. Just in the same price range for mid-level speakers there's much better out there for the same money. They aren't bad by any means, but the heavy cones sap alot of vocal detail away.
I have an Alpine 9887 in my car and had a 9815 in my other car when I sold it.. those were good radios. Sorry if I sound like an Alpine hater, I like Alpine, I just don't like what they did this year. They really cut it short on the parts quality to increase revenue to make up for their heavy losses on the OEM supply end. From a business perspective, it's smart and they had to do it. From a consumer prospective.. they made a bad move.
