I thnk he wants to find about about "smelly speaker syndrome", usually caused by improper matching and use of equipment.

for subs I am running 2 Memphis 1500D's with 2 12's for now cuz the subs are Duel 4 ohm coil's so if I just used one amp for both I would just get about 375rms a sub which would be a waste of a $1500 or so amp, so I am running each sub with its own 1500D amp and I am only running 12" Audiobahn Flame Q's when they blow or die or what ever I can get get some high end subs, cuz I will have had time to save up for some sweet subs...

Or spend less on an amp to match the impedance your current woofers give.

Oh but you wouldnt have 2 1500d's because you need those.

Kicker KX1200.1 is 1200 watts RMS.

And one of those amps per sub will deffinatly smoke it. I've been there and done that.
Im speaking from experience.

For a Daily Driver, 500 RMS per driver is more than enough to get them thumping good.

I used to have 2 12" L7's off ONE JL 1000/1 and nobody wanted to sit in my van.

L7's are rated at 750 RMS each, and 1500 Peak.
Sending each sub 1200 watts RMS EACH, for a Daily Driver set up, your askin to fry em. For Burps they will take it, but not for daily driving.

Sono You know I know what im talkin bout here!

LoL damn skippy I need them,LoL I dont really care about these subs, I only paid $300 for them both new in factory box, so if they blow big deal, and thier RMS is 1100 and Peak is 2200w so they should be able to handle the power, and as soon as I get the cash for some serious JL 12's or 15's then I am going to try and send that alumimum cone through my roof on perpose...

They did run off the shelf for the past two years, the amps are modded and put out crazy wattage @ 18v.greg davis was saying a zr1000 puts somewhere in the neighborhood of 1800rms @ 1 ohm
the s10l7's on the beast were run at 8ohm(dual 4's)so they were seeing 700-900rms each depending upon impedance rise or drop.
I'AM running 2 zr1000's on a pair of s12l7's daily driven, just need to be sure not to play far below the port tuning as very bad things can happen.they are tough subs, and if you're competing db drag i would go 2000wrms per sub or higher.

What is Ma using now?

She used Kicker for YEARS....and PPI before that...What's she got, JBL now??

It seems that all the old Kicker people are switching over to JBL
