HU/Speakers/Amp for 06 Mustang
Hey guys, I'm new to car audio but I have been searching and reading a lot on the internet. I've also done some searches here but haven't found specifically the answers I'm looking for - which isn't too surprising, I guess, given how many variables there seem to be (to me, haha) when it comes to car audio.
Long story short, my Shaker 500 head unit died a couple weeks ago and I went looking for a replacement. I settled on this:
JVC KW-XR610 (kwxr610) - Car Stereo In-Dash Receiver at Sonic Electronix - Sonic Electronix
I'm now also interested in replacing the stock front door and rear deck speakers, and adding an amp for those as well. I will probably leave the 8" door subs as is. I'm not an "audiophile" by any means, but I love my music and if it would sound better than the stock system I'd be interested in upgrading. Here's what I've been looking at:
JL Audio C2-570X (c2570x) - 5" x 7" Speakers - Sonic Electronix
Alpine MRP-F300 (mrpf300) - 4-Channel Amplifiers - Sonic Electronix
I believe that these speakers should fit in both the door and the rear deck, (I need 5x7s or 6x8s for both) and I really like the amp due to its small size and affordability - I plan on tucking it under the passenger seat. I guess what I'm wondering is if all of these pieces would work well together, due to things such as wattage or anything else you could think of. I've read that matching RMS is important, but I've also read plenty of conflicting information as well.
Thanks a bunch!
