I Just noticed this on the box for my new amp whats it mean?
I Have my box for my amp I Just bought a few weeks ago and it says"
200 RMS x 1 (4ohm) 20 hz to 240 hz
400 RMS x 1 (2ohm) 50 hz
I have my single daul voice coil sub in parrel so does that mean the the 50 Hz can't be changed from 50 hz?

It means nothing. Just that when they tested it, it makes 400 rms x 1 @ 2ohms when fed with a 50hz note. Thats just their reference point. No big deal. It's 400 rms @ 2ohms. So long as your DVC is dual 4 ohm your good.

well... we all need help sooner or later though the best time to ask the question is prior to purchase
if more people asked questions like this then there would be fewer 'is it bad when the amp smokes?' posts!
BTW the amp doubles its power into 2 ohms so that's a pretty good thing. Very well made amps would double power again into 1 ohm

Nah, I am sure that you would find a following of people who would pronounce it the best amp the market as it makes the most power at 50hz. vs. anyone else.... it would probably have loads of chrome on it and be found on e-bay for 50% less than anyone with a comparable amp with free shipping to boot!
