ok guys i dunno too much about the audio tryin to learn slowly . but here is the problem i have 2 twelve inch RF hx2's in a bandpass box with a jbl 1200.1 amp runnin them now when i crank the bass the amp sometimes cuts out . should i get another amp or what ??? o ya and my deck is the alpine iva d300

is your amp hot? how are the subs wired to the amp?

After you solve this problem, lose the sub destroying bandpass box, sell it to some dude that thinks it looks cool.

If the amp is too hot the amp will go into thermal protection. What is the exact model # of the HX2 subs and like was asked above, how are they wired? Where is the gain control set to? What about the bass control on the cd player?

ummm not exactly sure on the model number of them i know they push 500 rms each sub i dunno if that helps and the amp i believe are wired up at 4 ohm thats what the guy told me and the bass on the gain on the amp is all the way up and the deack is at 10 and the max is 15
and no the amp does not get too hot

i also have a cap running in this mess
