My dad was driving over the harbor bridge one time down here in Texas. Its going into Corpus Christi. Anyway, he was cruisin at about 70 mph-cars are flying by doin 90-there is no way to get off the bridge-its big, fast paced and long.. He reached the top of the bridge and on the other side there was a fuc*kin driveshaft off of a 87 Buick in the middle of the lane. Its a 3lane road and there were cars on either side...so he just went ahead and ran that bitc* over. The funny part is that after the bridge the car was on the side of the road and a couple guys are standing outside it going "hey man theres a driveshaft" after the damage was done hahaha. anyway I drive that truck now and the point of this is that it bent my front right a arm, destroyed my fuel filter and housing, and put a huge gash/crater in the front of my gas tank. there were several little holes i guess stress fractures and now my gas tank holds 1.5 gallons less. My dad and i fixed the holes with some titanium putty that he got from work. That is some strong stuff so if you could find some of that USE IT. lets see...that was 6 years ago and i have not had any problem with it since.

No one in their right mind would weld a gas tank that isn't properly cleaned and probably blanketed with an inert gas (N2?).

Seal-All is petrol resistant in a pinch, silicone won't last. And there prbably is some kind of metal putty for this type of thing, but I don't remember seeing it.
Is the car very old? Maybe just replace the tank.

ok thanks for your help for the tank but so far the silicone seems to do the job and getting the tank out again would be hell. as for the amps, i decided to put back the back seats and my friend told me i had enough room to install them inside my sub box. I end up with fixing the whole problem of finding room for them amps plus it looks much cleaner in the car.

As for the bad amps as you call them adam... they sound ok and i know i should have gotten mtx 1000rms amps but as you can see in the link below i had a money problem so I opted for the pyramids, when i get another student loan, maybe then ill buy a mtx my old post]click here for old post

The Bret, I'm just curious about a few things...

1) Why, oh why would you put an amp INSIDE of the sub box. I mean with subs like that, the amps are probably going to fly apart into a million pieces with all the vibrations.

2)Again, why are there wires hanging out of the ports...I mean I know Dukk would be proud of you for choosing a ported application, but I don't think ports are supposed to be used for passing wires, I think they're for air flow...

3)Why are the ground and power wires so darn small for an amp that puts out "2000 watts". And are those puny wires for both amps?!

4)And is the white wire or the telephone cord the turn on wire? For that matter, why is there a telephone cord in your box, don't you usually keep those attached to your phone, at home? I know I do, so maybe we should keep it like that...

I believe that if you need help, perhaps you should contact a professional, and not your friend who keeps giving you these ghetto ideas. That's just my opinion.

Another opinion is stop what you're doing and go back to school with your student loans, because you're make us Quebecers look like university dropouts who don't know how to install sound systems.
