Well like MR2NR mentioned options are endless, we can get 12" subs that handle 5000+ Watts if need be. You have to know what direction your aiming. Lets get the basic questions answered.

Do I want SPL / SQ or a combination of both?

And do I want to compete with this system and if so what are my expectations?

What is my budget and am I willing to exceed my budget to achive my goal?

How much space am I willing to give up?

Then from here we can throw you a few suggestions.

none of those subs will be super loud. The W7s are alright, SoloXs are pretty good, I don't know about the Alpines however if you want to be really loud I would go with a sub that has been proven to be very loud. I don't know how much money you are out to spend however the Kicker L7 is actually just as loud as the soloX is with low power and you can get alot more of them for the money. Also if you want a speaker that is extremely loud and more durable I would look at buying some Digital Designs woofers. Many people who competes in SPL swear by them, they work awesome with low or high power and in almost any box you put them in, and they are almost bulletproof. Sure they aren't as gimmicky as the W7 or the SoloX and your friends wont know what the heck they are but they will be very loud. If you want something people will recognise then I think the L7s will be the best bet for loudness as you will be able to get far more for your money. As for amps that Kicker amp is descent however if you are looking for something better you may consider a Hifonics Collossus, Hifonics Goliath, Digital Designs Z1, American Bass 400.1, or many many other amps. There are ALOT of amps comparable to that kicker amp at a fraction the cost and there are at least a few that will be far better as listed above and you can probobly get most of them for around the same price as the kicker.

there are all kinds of good subs out there
I have 2 Solo X 12's which I am running one on 300 just for laughs and man that thing is stupidly loud 135 spl in my truck. But solo's take a lot of room in a car. I have also 2 RE 15 HC's which I am selling pm me for a price on them. but everyone has an opinion on stuff go listen to stuff and see what you like.

Now the super beetle is nearing completion. It is a mix of old school stuff with new. 2 12" solo x's, 2 Phoenix Gold Cyclones, 2 sets of of Phoenix Gold Zero point fronts, and for the amps still desciding on those. And some alpine deck just not 100% sure on which one. But oh well I will get some pic up sometime

I have seen those pioneer subs your talking about, they look pretty serious, never heard one though but at 3000w rms you would imagine that they are loud

I hear the MTX RFL is loud too and you can rebuild it after you blow it up

RFL isnt meant for a daily driver though, from what ive heard from everyone that has heard one, is it sounds like , and its only meant for SPL comps, but if thats what you wanted it for?

you would be better off with that premier IMO

i would buy the L7 over most of the subs out there , but if u want SQ i would go for a sub in a small box.
