You go ahead and say that to previous IASCA SQ world champs that have used Kicker products

Thats why one of them blew up ? 1800 RMS to both of them and there was no clipping at all everything was perfect .

Heard a lot of good stuff about these subs
http://www.woofersetc.com/p2031/IDMAX12D2--Image-Dynamics-12"-1800-Watt-Subwoofer.htm

I want SQL, Loud and Clear. 3200 RMS around there

When i take a look at most of the top rated SQ subs they say 1000 RMS max. Im looking for something that would take 1500 RMS.

Dont say type R's or Type X, i just hate them lol

I have never heard a square sub install that I liked the sound of
as of yet...sealed,ported doesn't matter...square subs sound funny to me
most SQ installs are graded on the over all sound and staging....
a great SQ system can have mediocre bass and still have a decent score
and win a trophie
BTW...I have seen systems with RF subs win SQ comps to......
if it wasn't for the rest of the system being on par it wouldn't of happened

some people go with personall preference though....some like squares...some like circles..........
didn't Extant make a sub shaped like a stop sign....LMAO

Seriously though in all reality a good SQ sub should be capable of a nice
flat response with minimal note overlap...
my SSA Icons are to date the flattest over all response I have been able
to get in car on the Mic
a 3db variance from 10hz right up to the 63hz X-over point is gonna be
really hard to beet with any sub

I'll be going back to Icons once I'm done wrecking my van with the Xcons

I'm not knocking the Kicker subs..they are loud and all but just not what
I concider a SWEET sounding woofer.
