Loudest SQ Subwoofer ?
the Xcons are definately a TIGHT sounding woofer..if your goal is
wrecking your vehicle they are a step in the right direction...LOL
they hit like sledge hammers
for a deafening street beater the Xcons are just nuts..I'm not done
playing with them so I don't have an honest over all opinion yet
the Xcon and the Icon are two completely different sounding woofers
for pure SQ I would take the Icon...I just love the low end extension
that they produce in a 28 to 31hz tuned enclosure...just awsome
I have stopped taking orders from the US so I can spend more time
with Canadian customers and working with SSA....
will have more test vids and numbers with SSA subs coming

square subs produce square waves...that's why they sound bad. Music is supposed to be dynamic peaks and dips in a squiggly pattern...you can't get that from a square subwoofer...ergo...they're no good. There, I've found the answer!!! Actually, now that I think of it, round subs would produce round waves...there not squiggly either. Oh well, thought I had it solved.

I owned the first square sub kicker produced and I have installed
every other model made since..they sound OK at best and do not drop
like a real "sub woofer" should
I'd eat my words if someone were to show me a 10" square sub system that
will drop anything close to what my Icon 10" did with out bottoming out
or farting or unloading and stay clear as a bell with the same flat response
across the freq range with the Termlab
