An ABX test is a method of comparing two kinds of sensory stimuli to identify detectable differences. A subject is presented with two known samples (sample A, the reference, and sample B, an alternative). Of these two samples, one is selected as the unknown sample (sample X), which the subject identifies as being either A or B. If sample X cannot be determined reliably with a low p-value in a predetermined number of trials, then the null hypothesis cannot be rejected and it cannot be proven that there is a perceptible difference between samples A and B.

I'v built alot of SoloBaric boxes..even threw away a pile of blown squares
when I moved from Kelowna to Salmon Arm..I have had my fun with them
it's just my personal opinion (no abx test will change that)
I'm actually building a 12" L5 enclosure next..it's gonna bang as good as square can

A few years ago someone won a big SQ comp with 3 L7 10's in a trunk and I wondered how. XBL^2 & LMS drivers are the obvious win, they are very neutral sounding. At 3000W RMS, the only thing that'll kill SQ is how the driver sounds, which is much more apparent in a ported box, and for SQ you tune low, so there's no surprize L7s can win SQ comps, with slightly more cone area and a low tune, it'll keep the high's and the low's. All those SQL drivers will roll off hard below 30 and after 45hz. A flat 20-50hz qualifies as SQ for me. 60hz is like having a thousand hair clippers around you.
