In my first install with my current car i had id mini horns and midbass in the doors playing to 800hz.. The mid was mounted flat to the door..

At first the imaging wasnt good at all.. But once some time was spent tuning and playing with phase etc.. Imaging was pretty good, center was in the middle of the dash.. Fairly wide.. Sounded good for a street install.

so i would try mounting them flat in the doors first..

Horns are ID Pro minis...yes they are mounted.

I think I am going to try making a wooden ring, about 2 inches high, to attach to the baffle. I will belt sand one side of the ring on an angle and then glue it to the baffle (sanded side to the baffle). I will have to use a little bondo probably to seal it up because the sanding won't be perfect.

If that doesn't work, fibreglass it is...glass just seems like a lot of work for what I need.

Angled mounts are done...just sanded down a wooden speaker mounting ring on one side...glued and screwed it to the baffled...mounted the baffle to the door...and sealed it all up...will try to get pics...haven't hooked the speakers up yet...still want to deaden the doors...
