I don't have a Cherokee but I've seen it done. It was a Cherokee sport and basically he cut the bottom (10" or so) of the door panel off and replaced it with a peice of carpeted MDF, pretty simple. I'll see if I can find a pic.

I'm using an audio control 2Xs for midbass crossover. 90 - 200. you can change the crossover frequencies internally using different chips(resisters on a small board). You can make your own chips -using their calculations for frequency you choose.
