Thanx for the compliments folks!!
Listening impressions, well my biggest complaint was that I could never get the midrange to 'focus" the way I thought I should, I don't blame the speakers because Gumby has the same ones and had wicked focus. So probably could have done something install wise about that.
midrange again, there is something about the tonality that I just didn't like, which is probably why I never bothered to try harder on the focus part.
The front end as a whole was a little 'light" sounding for me, I was looking for some *****, probably not an "sq" type goal but it was my goal so I was determined that the 3's had to go.
Scott Buwalda himself was kind enough to spend some time to try and tune it for me and although he did an awesome job of it, I still wasn't happy.
The tweeters, I really liked...as much as the Rainbows I'm running now actually.
the first SQ car I fell in love with was Fozz's, and what I notice most about an SQ car is the midrange, he ran the scan speak revs and now I have them and I was right, it was the revs sound I was looking for.
Midbass, the L6's were okay, very lightweight for what I was looking for, I think the problem here was that I was looking for an 8 or 10 sound out of a 7 inch midrange. they sounded amazing in the upper ranges, and had some good snap and tonally exceptional. Problem was, I was looking for punch and kick and something to mate well with a 15 inch sub IB.
the sub I'm not changing, if it's not suitable for SQ I'd quit competing before I got rid of that sub, yup, I love it that much.
Amps, meh, they are amps, they work well, are reliable and do what they are supposed to do.
overall the system sounded (is sounded a word?) good to me, the staging was good, the imaging was okay, tonality was so,so...just something about the midrange I didn't like, very hard to describe
the car has a nice deep dash and a bunch of other good things about it that made the install work well and sound good.
I'm hoping the next install is even better, but more importantly, I hope it sounds even better still. (or at least to my liking more).

Amazing build. That is what I hope to achieve one day.
Could you explain what you did on the frame of the door(mid range/tweeter)? What material did you use to make the mounts? It looks like you built all of the trim that goes from the mid/tweeter to around the door (not just the speaker mounts).
More pics?
Maybe stock VS what you've done?
I need to do something of the same, since my car doesn't have any kind of mounts there. I will definitely have to read up on how to use such construction material.
In the trunk where the amps are, did you seal off where the tire was? What did you use?
Impressive on how clean every thing looks. One day my car will like that. One day..

Thanks for the Props Mutt!
very well thought out Install.. sad to see the Legatia's go.
I am not sure if the L4's with some eq work in the Midrange could get the Scan Rev Richness or not.. we'll have to see how Fozz's car sounds.
I look forward to seeing whats in store for the intrepid this year!

The Mopar symbols on the covers were a bunch of charm bracelet pieces I found on Ebay. Caution with covers like these however is that I think they affect sound dispersion (could just be in my head too?)

I was sad to see the Legatia's go as well, I was in the middle of talks with Mr. Buwalda about joining team Hybrid but I wanted to upgrade to the 841-pros, but for budget reasons I needed to sell off my old stuff, then someone, somewhere dropped the ball and I was never contacted by the Canadian side of the team about the details of getting new stuff and whatever.
I got impatient and the Revs came up for sale at the price I was willing to pay and I snatched them up.
I have zero ill will towards Hybrid whatsoever, their product is awesome and their customer service is the best I've seen in the industry!!!
This year I'm going a different route is all. Who knows what next year will bring.
I'm very much looking forward to what Fozz can do with his setup and he's not in my class so I hope he does very well...lol.
