How do you find the balance of those tiny Alpine amps (I think they are only 18x2) and the 12s on the RF amp? What was in the spot where the 701 controller is? Good job on a clean install.

Edit: I re-read your equipment list and see that the Alpines are only on the tweets and centre channel.

^^yeah, initially i was worried about the output of those 3503's, but on the tweets and center they're better than I thought, and they sound really clean. It's nice to see 15 year old+ equipment still rockin'. As for the controller, it's mounted where the stock 6 disc changer used to be(was a nice changer by the way, wish I could have integrated it with the Alpine). The subs and amp are very powerful and as such they are actually set at the lowest signal level possible, -12 on the pxa(-13 mutes the signal), 0 on the Alpine sub out, and 1/2 gain on the Hifonics with no amp boost. The good part is that I can play the system at max volume with no distortion at all, I guess that's the benefit of lots of headroom. Transients are excellent as well long deep tones. Unfortunately, I can't listen to it at max, it's still way too loud for listening to full range music, I'm usually set to around 12-18 on the volume ****. I have to say that going all active has improved the clarity and detail of my system more than any other upgrade I've done in the past( well maybe except for adding tweeters to a stock set up). Anyway, thanks a lot guys for the great comments. Let's see some photos of your systems...I love pictures!
