i would tough it out till you upgrade. and when you redo and rebuild and you want to keep the same concept.. grab amps that has tunning on the top of the amp.

OR do 6" wide by the length of the amp and put it on henges. so all you have to do is open it like you open a door to tune it

Will get the pics up tomorrow. The car just came with the stock piece of "carboard" that goes over the wheel well. I needed to rebuild an entire floor that would fit right in, so that I could screw the box and amps down. It also supports a good 150lb with my box and amps. The back end of my car is about an inch lower now though. With all of that mdf and gear, probably added about 300lb

Yeah I was looking at the kicker amps, but I ended up getting a great deal on an amp yesterday so I took it. The amp should be here in a week or two. It's a Eclipse DA7122, and it should push about 1200RMS @ 2OHM to my subs, which are 400RMS each.. moving up from the planet audio which only does 600RMS @ 2OHM.. hoping to see some big gains

Progress pics!

Covered in sawdust..

Some of the pieces here.. you can see the piece I made to go in the spare wheel well..best thing i could think of, but It worked out very well.

All the faces cut out and Carpeted. I suck at carpeting! Was looking desperately for a tutorial on carpeting a circle. I had to cut pieces and paste.. very noob

Running some of the wires... you can see the body is all black.. thats the sound deadener.. its almost like a tar

Here you see the spare well brace.. and the false floor starting to come together

I'm not sure how well the sound deadening worked because I never had a system in the car without it. I do believe that I would have had better results if I did 4/5 Coats, which is what you're supposed to do, but it was too cold outside and it wouldn't dry so I did 2 heavy coats. If anyone wants the rest of the bucket its up for sale.. enough to do 2 cars fully with 5 coats.. a lot of people swear by this stuff.
