need help on car sound plz !!

what i got : stealth calibra 900watt 2channel amp
JBL GTO8628 - 6" x 8" 2-way Car Speakers
Power Handling:
Peak: 360 watts per pair / 180 watts each
RMS: 120 watts per pair / 60 watts each
Frequency response: 50-21,000 Hz
2 ohms impedance
Head unit : ICE power IMV-7000DD

im a noob with car sound so dont judge haha..

i connected the 2 JBL speakers to the amp but i get distortion even on a very low sound level someone told me its becoz my amp is to powerful for my speakers. my idea is to connect 2 more 6x9s i havent bought them yet i want to know witch will be best for my setup ?? and if i connect all 4 speakers to the amp by bridge them will it make the distortion on my front speakers go away or what do you guys think is causing that plz help ?

Try turning the gain control **** on the amplifier to the minimum setting.

first of all, NO. an amp cant be to powerfull for your speakers and cause distortion. Just lower the volume!
You dont provide much more info. It will be difficult to diagnose. what kind of distortion? are they mounted in the doors already? do you have bass turned way up?
