I want to build an SQL system but i want to do it in steps. So far i've got a good enough deck, 3X 5volt rca outs, sub control , no built in cross over.
I will be getting new front door speakers soon, 75w rms, 150W max.
I have a Sony xm-4525 amp lieing around, it pushes 100Wx2, 250X1... I Think.. it was my dads but he has no idea what the specs are and i can't find them anywhere on the web.

I'm thinking use the amp to power the door speakers for now.

what i want to do next is

-Upgrade stock 6x9s to something with minimum 50-70w rms and get an amp to power them
-Buy 1 12" AT LEAST 800-1000w rms sub and an amp to power it
-Get one more sub to add to it

^ does that look right ? or would anyone suggest something else.... and if so ... why would u suggest that ...

AND if you could PLEASE help by suggest brand names that would fit in those categories i would really appreciate it.

If your building a SQ vehicle, don't waste your money on replacing the 6x9's. Leave them entirely out of the system and spend the money you save on a good component set for the front.
