Like the other folks are saying Scotchguy save a little more now and buy a better amp.....nobody regrets getting quality and when you are looking for that much power it is cheaper buying it once.....

lol sort of. But remember I was the first to say save up. I was just trying to get ahead of all the guys that were going to come in an start listing amps when the OP said came back to ask "What amp will do 2000 @ 2 ohms?"

When I started I bought the best used stuff I could afford, new would have easily cost 3 or 4 times as much.....there is a lot of decent stuff in the classifieds here and amps in that power range pop up on a regular basis.
Look for a seller with a good iTrader rating, maybe a few references from other members and pics of the equipment so you can make a better decision.
Oh...don't get too hung up on the need for 2KW right off the bat....the extra $$ to get from 1KW to 2KW would be better spent on a very good enclosure for that woofer......
